Chicago's beach and Tommy Mac

I shot this a while back and never had the chance to put it up. This was shot months ago when it was just getting cold and it yet snowed. Lighting two subjects, Tommy and the water at the same time with one 580EX II flash proved to be quite difficult. No genius idea popped up when I started to shoot, so I kept shooting and thinking till it came to me and it finally did! It came to me as I was going through the photos. "over expose" "underexpose" blah blah blah. then tada! Photoshop can save this shoot. Make two exposure one to light up the model just right and another one for the water and edit them together for equally lit model and water. Saving up for two more flashes for slaves. Having two more flashes that night would of been a dream come true. But we must use what we have and still rock it out.

Hire him! he is great to work with!

Thoughts of today.

I find it beautiful when I see a happy couple, I have two wedding to shoot in October and one of them I went to school with and the second is a very fun and great person to have conversations with. I got a chance to photography my friend at Navy Pier about weekend ago and seeing him with the love of his life is quite refreshing. Cheers to all the happy couples. Here are a few shots from the frigid day.

tada! my friends from St. Louis. say Hi to Kevin and Krystal.

They both rocked the shades! I want a pair now :P
